At school, my son just completed a unit on Healthy Living. As I am constantly battling with him to eat healthier and move more, I thought this would be an especially good experience for him. As a part of this unit, the kids used the school Macs to publish a book called "Our Healthy Lifestyles."
Today, he brought his "published" book home. I was very impressed! He took great pictures, and had some well-researched facts.
And then I reached the end of the book. More specifically, the "About the Authors" section.
This is what he wrote:
"I am a 10 year old 5th grader, and I am a fat couch potato. All I do every day is play videogames and watch TV, eating too! I also like to doodle on random sheets of paper, and read. I am an amazing chef, and my family likes my cakes."
Oy.
