I'm Back!

Just a check-in...I think Facebook has officially killed my blog. Since I have been here since 2004, I cannot just let it die. So...


Lots of change here in the Meshugganah house. My husband lost his job a few months ago. We knew it was coming - but it was still upsetting when it happened. We have both always worked, priding ourselves on being self-sufficient. While he attempts to get his own business off the ground, I changed jobs, too - to a new law firm that can give me more hours. Fortunately, they are allowing me to remain an independent contractor who works from home. Life is stressful, to say the least. But, I know there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

What else? My son started junior high. The change in his behavior is simply amazing - he has taken the added responsibility and run with it. His grades are wonderful, and he even made the honor roll last quarter. He is still goalie for his hockey team, too. My daughter is attempting to be the next Sasha Cohen - we spend many hours at the ice rink while she twirls.

So - life is busy. We are hosting Thanksgiving this year, and plan to adopt the sailors again. I have lost more than 80 pounds since my surgery last year, and am scrambling to find a new wardrobe!!!
